Pastor Ray A. Stewart is the Senior Pastor of Grace and Truth Baptist Church. Pastor Ray has a large presence in the “recovery” community and works with individual to help them learn and apply “biblical principles” designed by God to see lives “transformed by the renewing of their minds.
Pastor Ray has been married to his “Help Meet” and Ministry Partner, Dawn Stewart since May 23, 1980. They have 2 adult children, Demetrius (Patty), Tayler (Andrew), 2 grandchildren (Olivia and Michael)
Ray, a US Army Veteran - has more than 35 years of ministry experience and biblical training which includes: Graduate of the Shepherds School of Ministry. Chaplain - Jackson County Missouri Detention Center (JCDC). Chaplain Houses Hearts and Hands (H3) - Men’s transitional home. Certified (Prepare/Enrich) Marriage Counselor. Principle Counselor - City Union Mission (CUM). Associate Pastor - 1st Regular Baptist Church (Kansas City). Associate Pastor/Worship Leader - Southview Baptist Church (Raytown). Youth Athletic Director (Kansas City Baptist Temple). Small Group Leader (Lee’s Summit). Credentials Committee member - Blue River Kansas City (BRKC).
Dawn, also a US Army Veteran has been a faithful servant in various ministries for more than 35 years, to include Discipleship, teaching Bible Studies, Youth and Teen Counselor, Adult Counselor, Events and Planning coordinator and various Church Administrative roles. Dawn currently serves as the Primary Woman’s Ministry Leader, as well as serving as director over our Children’s Ministry at GTC. She currently teaches bi-weekly Women’s Zoom Studies, to woman who attend from various churches. She faithfully has written the curriculum for the “Women’s Study” that is used as the course of Study at GTC for training our women, and has attended various missions’ trips, domestically and abroad.
