The Youth Group Ministry from Heartland Baptist Fellowship headed to Logan Valley Retreat Center in Ellington, MO for a Christ-honoring camp. 33 middle and high school students gathered for worship, fellowship, preaching, bible study and of course food and fun! It was a great camp that saw many decisions for Christ and lives changed.

Youth Pastor Seth Harper from Midtown Baptist Temple and his wife led the camp in praise and Seth brought the word from the book of Haggai challenging students to shine as lights in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. We are looking forward to seeing some of those who received Christ as Lord and Savior follow him in believer's baptism in the days ahead.

Our team of adults acted as counsellors, encouragers, bus driver, and overall awesome people to help guide the students and make it a week we will all remember. We really appreciate all those who pitched in to make this a great week!

There were so many great memories made, friendships that were developed and strengthened. As we get close to the start of a new school year, we pray that the SHINE doesn't fade in the lives of the students and the adults who were present. We have been so encouraged by the changes that we have seen in the weeks since we returned and are excited to see what God does next.

Pray for these students as they return to school and face the challenges that come with it. We trust that the Lord will continue the work that was begun at the camp.
