What a great night we had out on Pearl Street again this Halloween. You never know how the weather will be, but this year God gave us the perfect Halloween weather. Our event has been going for several years now and every year seems to get bigger and better! We are so grateful to the Newlands for their vision on using their home to connect to our community. We started out with the goal to get the word into the hands of our neighbors, and it has grown over the years into a well-oiled manufacturing and distibution facility.

It starts the Sunday before Halloween, when people come to fill the bags with candy, a John and Romans, a tract, and more. Then, on Halloween, people begin showing up a few hours before the trick-or-treaters to get tables and canopies set up. Everything gets staged and ready for the craziness to begin around 5. From then on it is a non-stop line of kids, teens, parents, and even a few pets. We go until we run out of everything.

This year we gave out 1,500 bags of candy, 1,770 cups of hot chocolate, and 1,300 hot dogs in about 3 hours. It was quite an evening. It is always great to see those who have visited the house in previous years who know what they're looking for. It is also great to see a kid's face light up when they realize that we have hot chocolate. There was something for everyone and we couldn't be more pleased with the way things went.

Would you join us in prayer for those who received the word of God this year?
