Passage

1 Corinthians 2:1-5
Corinthians - 9

You have heard that Coke is the real thing. Of course the assumption is that anything else is an imitation.   That is what Paul is talking about in 1 Corinthians 2. He is presenting the superiority of Christ’s power and wisdom. The Corinthians were settling for second best. Paul is letting them know that the power and wisdom of God is far superior to the wisdom and judgement of men.   He wants them to have the real thing so they don’t settle for a cheap imitation.   Today in our society we often settle second best. We either don’t know or don’t remember that Christ is real thing and we replace him with things which will not last.
