Thanksgiving, An Attitude of GratitudeBrian Hedges, Sr. Pastor Psalms 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. Thanksgiving is comprised of two words, thanks and giving. One implies an attitude (thanks) and the other an action that expresses that attitude (giving). This past month many have shown great love to me, my family and the pastors of HBF through expressions of appreciation. I want to take this opportunity once again to say thank you! 2017 Harvest Party a SuccessCommunity turns out for annual event The 2017 HBF Harvest Party was once again a success. God put things in motion (including the weather) to bring 150-200 members of the community to HBF on Saturday, Oct. 28, for the annual Harvest Party. "Outwardly I was saying the right things,” said David Cundiff, who coordinated the Harvest Party with his wife Kathy. "The weather looked bad and I was just worried we wouldn’t be able to hold it. But of course that day the sun shone brightly. It wasn’t warm, but we were in the middle of a sun field. God worked it all out.” For more infomation visit: http://www.hbfcass.org/pages/harvest-party-brings-community-to-hbf

Guest speaker at HBF Dec. 3Learn how you can minister to veterans You are invited to join us on Dec. 3, 2017, as we will have a special guest speaker; retired SGM Doug Carragher. Dr. Carragher is planning to lead us in a better understanding of how we can serve the men and women who volunteer to serve us on the front lines defending our right to freely declare the gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. Carragher also will be sharing with us ways in which we as a church may be able to minister to the soldiers, sailors, and airmen who suffer from difficulties from duty. Small investments can yield large returnsBy Steve Fleshman I am currently corresponding with a man in Cass County Jail who has attended Life Issues meetings in the past, he has been incarcerated (again) for several months and we have had several phone calls in addition to written correspondence. At the end of a phone conversation a few weeks ago, he pleaded with me to bring him some finger nail and toe nail clippers, stating that everyone in his block (and entire jail) was in dire need of them and that he had filled out paperwork to get permission to receive them. I debated complying to such a request, but I had a vacation day coming up, in which I could feasibly drive down and try to fulfill his request, so I asked Angie to purchase some clippers.
