The 2017 HBF Harvest Party was once again a success. God put things in motion (including the weather) to bring 150-200 members of the community to HBF on Saturday, Oct. 28, for the annual Harvest Party.
"Outwardly I was saying the right things,” said David Cundiff, who coordinated the Harvest Party with his wife Kathy. "The weather looked bad and I was just worried we wouldn’t be able to hold it. But of course that day the sun shone brightly. It wasn’t warm, but we were in the middle of a sun field. God worked it all out.”
David wanted to thank everyone who handed out flyers the week before, as well as those who worked at the Burnt District Festival in early October handing out flyers and telling people about the upcoming Harvest Party.
"The thing I really enjoyed was watching people from all over the church working and participating, from guys in their 80s to teenagers," he said. "Every Bible Fellowship Class was represented. Everyone did their small thing to help out.
"None of it would have been possible without Kathy. I’d say the same things even if I wasn’t married to her. She did most of the organization. It was a great day to be a part of HBF.”
