We had a great celebration Sunday as we honored our High School seniors who have graduated. It was a chance to recognize their hard work and the accomplishment of finishing high school. This year we had 3 graduates: Lilly Brunner, Tyler Crawford, and Samuel Hedges.

A charge was issued to them by youth leader Luke Fleshman to head out into the world with their feet firmly planted on the foundation of Jesus Christ. We know that a number of decisions await them and that the enemy is “as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour". We prayed over these students and challenged our church body to remember them in prayer as well.

In addition to our high school seniors, we also recognized our 5th graders who have completed their time in elementary school and who are now headed to middle school. We celebrated 6 students: Ruben Alvarez, Elizabeth Branham, Evie Cavin, Jackson Fleshman, Jessa Morrow, and Joey Mosley. As we know, middle school can be a difficult time for many and Mitchell Newland provided each of these 5th grade graduates with a shield as a reminder to put our faith in Christ. He spoke on the importance of being prepared to defend against the fiery darts of the wicked.

What a great graduation weekend at HBF!
