PROCEEDS GO TO HELP CHILDREN ALL OVER THE WORLD

orphans1

The Gralon Rhys 5k is praying to expand its reach to many needs around the world. Here are the children we are desiring to help directly.

Hope Family Orphanage (Kathmandu, Nepal): The original designee of proceeds is still our primary target for assistance. The children at Hope Family were orphaned and abandoned, being left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of Nepal. A local Bible-believing church has rescued them from unimaginable conditions, and become their permanent family. What makes Hope Family special is that they are not only providing food, shelter, clothes, & medicine for these children, but also pointing them to Jesus Christ. These children are learning about Him, and have a desire to live their lives for Him.

Iglesia Del Norte (Pijije, Costa Rica): The children of refugees from drug-riddled areas of Nicaragua are living in a squatter community outside the city of Liberia. A church of Costa Rican missionaries ministers to the children who live in this impoverished rural area. Many of the kids are illiterate and malnourished. The villages in which these children live also have an extremely high rate of sexual abuse and prostitution. We are praying we can help provide funding for the church to give meals to the children as they teach them God’s word. The kids hear about Jesus’ love for them every Sunday and Tuesday.

Passion Center for Children (Malawi, Africa): This ministry grew out of a deep concern for vulnerable children of Malawi and their communities staggering under the growing weight of HIV/AIDS, poverty, and disease. The Passion Center is a warm, caring environment where children can experience the healing power of God's grace and learn about Jesus. The center provides their most basic needs such as food, clothing, protection, and medical care. It also provides education in Jesus’ name to ensure that orphaned children will be equipped with grace, compassion, and truth so that they will become instruments for His purposes, and future leaders in their communities.

Please consider partnering with us in prayer and in funding to help support the great eternal work being accomplished by these ministries. Thank you!
