If you follow Social Media you will see the reports coming in from Baton Rouge from our HBF Relief Team members. Please continue to pray for the team as they labor. Please continue to pray for the citizens of Baton Rouge who will be laboring to clean up from this flood disaster for months to years to come.

The scripture says "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." James 4:14-15 When we consider how fragile life is, it is no wonder the stuff we hang on to is subject to be destroyed by natural disaster within hours if not minutes. The shaking of an earthquake, the turbulence of a tornado, the fierce destruction of fire or the ravages of flood waters can destroy our property, memories and the things we have worked out whole lives to attain in the blink of an eye. While this should be something we are all aware of, we often think, "it won't happen to me." like the 18 year old who feels he's invincible we deny what we see all around us thinking it won't happen to us.

The truth is we live in a wonderful country under some of the best circumstances the world has ever experience natural disasters included. Don't allow the illusion to deceive you. Jesus Christ came to save sinners because humanity is sin wrecked. Like the homes condemned by the ravages of disaster, humanity has been condemned by sin. Praise God Jesus shows us the love of God in that he has restored all that was lost through his obedience on the cross. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 5:18

The damage of a natural disaster can be immense but restoration is the work believers in the the Lord Jesus Christ are accustom to.  We routinely see God recover souls that were lost to sin. In fact we are all a work in progress our self as it does not yet appear what we shall be. May God bless our team and the many souls they are ministering to. May God's good hand be upon the saints in Baton Rouge as they minister to a lost and saved alike. We will only be there a few short days, but the work of restoration is a project that will go on for some time because of the magnitude of the damage. May we pray God continue to bless with strengths so the hands of hope are not weary in well doing.
