In Matthew 28:19-20, we are given an incredible task to accomplish while we are on this planet. The Great Commission is every believer's responsibility - beginning across the street and spanning the globe by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples, training leaders and sending them to reproduce biblical ministry. When one thinks of world missions, it is usually thought of in the context of praying for and giving to a missionary that is going somewhere else to minister. This is a good start, but we cannot stop here. We are all personally responsible to missions. Over the years, the church has isolated missions into another program or something that only the missions director has to deal with. This needs to change, we need to change. The primary goal of mission focus is to create a missions culture in our churches that engages every believer to the privileged call from God to expand His kingdom all over the planet.
Mission Focus is a great opportunity for our churches to target our youth through young adults and challenge them to own the Great Commission. ALL are invited to come and be a part of Mission Focus. God has used this conference powerfully to impact the hearts and lives of people from several churches. The goal is to promote the priority of missions to our fellowship of churches. Every member will be challenged to see their personal obligation to participate in missions.
This year will again include a Mission Focus Student camp for Jr High through Senor High Students in the morning sessions (Thurs – Sat.) This is a critical age where exposure to a biblical view of missions will have the greatest impact.
The dates over the New Year holiday will facilitate families to start the year with a great mission focus!
It’s encouraging for them to see that they are not alone in their views on the Word of God, Discipleship, and Missions! Every member will be challenged to see their personal obligation to participate in missions.
The agenda of Mission Focus is to provoke the members of our fellowship’s local churches to own the great commission.
