God has allowed opened a door for the entire church body of HBF to minister grace to the flood victims of Baton Rouge. God has connected HBF to the Baton Rouge area through family ties of the Trude Family and a relationship with local churches who have connected us with The Gospel Light Baptist Church pastored by Roger Wagner.

This effort will assist the members of the body of Christ and the community in putting their homes back together after the recent flood. Per Pastor Wagner's request they are needing the following in priority: [1] box fans to dry out their homes. They cannot find box fans in any stores since the flooding. [2] Bleach in one gallon jugs to clean and fight off mildew. [3] Strong detergent for cleaning off the mud before sanitizing with bleach is also needed. Squeegees, scrub brushes and other cleaning tools also would be a great help.

If you are able to contribute to this a collection will start this week. Please bring your donated items to HBF and we will store them in the white trailer parked in front of the Church.

At HBF we have three priorities in supporting missions and missionaries. We desire to support them prayerfully, financially and physically. In this case we have the opportunity to do all three with the giving of supplies, the prayers of the church and the opportunity to travel to Baton Rouge aid in the effort to clean up from the flood.

Jeff Trude is calling on  a team of at least six men to travel to Baton Rouge as a work team for 5 days from August 31st through September 4th. If you are interested in donating supplies please drop them off at Heartland Baptist Fellowship during business hours, during evening service times or Sunday morning. If we all do a little God will multiply it above what we ask or think. Most importantly continue in prayer for the The Gospel Light Baptist Church as they are key witness for our Lord Jesus Christ at a key time.
