Donate here to the Nepal Relief Fund

In late April a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. That was followed nearly two weeks later by a 7.3 magnitude earthquake. These events made the evening news casts and there was an outpouring of discussion and prayer internationally as the quake death toll rose to over 10,000 with another 14,000 injured as well as hundreds of thousands left homeless as homes throughout the country fell. Many at HBF wanted to know what they could do and we organized the Nepal Relief Fund where we could channel funds to help with recovery and reconstruction. You can give to the fund at http://tinyurl.com/jvp7awz.

The news broadcasts have moved on but the conditions the population are dealing with have not. This is why we’re stepping up HBF’s response to the need for help by sending a team to help our friend living in Nepal erect Quonset hut style living shelters in villages outside of Kathmandu. R.R. is a man we met in September 2014 while the team was in Nepal conducting VBS for Pastor Rajan’s church.

As you heard this past Sunday, we have been called to assist in relief efforts in Nepal with R.R. and a group of men consisting of Randy Foster, Tom Feurt, Brad McGuire, Jason McGuire, Zach Feurt, Dan Brooks, Justin Craig, and Gwaine Arney are heading out on June 16 for ten days where they will work for five or six days in a mountain village about four hours east of Kathmandu. The trip will include hiking up to the village and living in tents for five or six days while ministering to the village.

While this trip is humanitarian in nature in reality this is a spiritual battle for the souls of men women children who already live lost and on the edge of hope. What hope they had was crushed  under the weight of their houses falling down and for many their lives have been destroyed. We want to extend the hand of care to these families and help them survive the coming monsoon rains but we also extend the message of the grace and mercy of God to them and what better way than to help pick them up out of the destruction of their village and at the same time help to pick them up out of the destruction of the coming judgment of the lost.

If you would like to support this team and this project please go to the donation using the link at the top of the page and give so this team can get there and get the job done and the project can be completed. In most trips the team has ample time to raise funds. This team is by faith taking on a large financial burden to respond to this call. The emergency nature of this trip and the supplies, food, transportation, and other things needed to minister will be offset by the support that comes through the Nepal Relief Fund.

Neh 2:17-18  Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.  18  Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.   God Bless Randy
