Below is a post from our good friends who serve in Nepal with Pastor Rajan. They live in the church building so I was so thankful to hear the building withstood both earthquakes. This report is an update of thier journey to visit those contacts in Nepal impacted by the earthquakes. Thank you for praying for the souls and saints in Nepal.

Pr. Rajan asked me to send a few pictures of our recent trip to several villages. I will attach these, labeled by district. I put a few of these on facebook - familypost, as well.

We started in Bhaktapur visiting Ram Bahadur and Goma in a small village at least a 40 minute walk in from the road where they faithfully catch a bus for another 40 - 60 minutes in to service. Both homes are unlivable. I don't know if yesterday's 7.3 quake further damaged them or not. Ram Bhadur is living in a tent with his wife and elderly sister. I'm not sure where Goma lives now.

Then we traveled to Sindhupalchok. Bhabani's house is just beyond Shipagat village which was still almost impassable for all the rubble that had collapsed into the street. She was a member of our church before moving to Sindhupalchok. Both her home and the home for the elderly that she was building were destroyed. For now she is staying in their chicken coop, but it leaks.

In John Sopkota's village, all 19 homes were also destroyed. He is the leader of one of our Jesus film teams and loves preaching in the villages. We especially want to take a group of our students there to help build toilets and clear rubble. An aide group delivered some tents that evening, but John didn't get one. He was hoping to get one the next day.

From there we traveled to Hom Bahadur's in Dolakha district. He has been faithfully preaching the gospel there for years. He and his family are also living in a tent because his house is badly damaged.

After that, we went to Sindhuli district to visit Pr. Navaraj. He has already cleared away the rubble that was his house. Only the outhouse remains. A church member has let him use a small room into which he crowds about 25 believers, so he is also praying for a larger meeting space.

We planned to visit Pr. Sagar and Pr. Bhim in Makwanpur, but one of our team, Laba Thapa had a heart attack that evening, and we took him back to Kathmandu the next day. Both pastors have lost both their church building and their homes in the first quake. Pr. Mohan in Nuwakot district also has lost his home, and possibly Pr. Rajan could visit him sometime soon.

While we were traveling we of course prayed for those who had lost much. We also gave out small sd chips that contained the Nepali audio New Testament, some Christian Nepali songs and Pr. Rajan's nationwide radio program, Message of Love. For those who might get internet access we gave out DVDs with all of the above plus classic Christian books, a couple of Bible-based language courses, and a wonderful free Bible software program called theWord.net.

Let me know if you have any questions. I will try to upload some more photos later.
with hope and with joy,
