A team of three from HBF traveled to Houston to support the ministry of Operation Renewed Hope and Arise Baptist Church of Houston,Texas. Heartland Baptist Fellowship's (HBF) Missions Pastor, Randy Foster coordinated the trip soon after hearing of the devastating floods in Houston. Upon hearing of the opportunity to help in Houston, Pastor Randy found two men, Dan Brooks and Jackson McGuire who were willing to pause their busy schedules and make the 12 hour trip to Houston to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Pastor Randy reported that entire communities in and around Houston are destroyed by the flood waters. While the outpouring of brotherly kindness has been tremendous there will be a lot of work to do for some time to recover from this devastating storm.

While in Houston, the team has helped residence remove debris, unloaded supplies, tore out flooring and sheet-rock and various other tasks. The team is scheduled to return to Cass County on Saturday evening so please join me in praying for the team and the people of Houston, surrounding areas and those in the path of Hurricane Irma which is about to make landfall in Florida.
