2017 Deacon Installation

Sunday evening April 23rd the men nominated as Deacons were officially installed to the office. The Lord has blessed HBF with faithful men who exemplify the biblical office of Deacon. Lance Yoder and Richard Steele are new to the ranks of Deacon. Lance shared a wonderful testimony of where God has brought him from, where he is and where God is taking him.

After the message and Lance's Testimony the Deacons and their wives were officially installed to the office before God and in the sight of the congregation. The congregation sang a song of benediction and were dismissed to go forth and preach the gospel.

Some members of HBF may not know that our deacon responsibilities are spread our geographically. Ideally we would have eight Deacons cover eight geographical sections but since we only installed four this cycle we will have four very large sections centered in Harrisonville and expanding to the far reaches of our membership locations. there are two large sections north of Mechanic  Street and two large sections south of Mechanic Street. 291 Highway divides the sections to the North and US 49 Highway divides the sections to the South.

If you are a member, you will be hearing from your Deacon soon! Don't forget to pray faithfully for you Deacons as they serve on the front lines of serving the body of Christ.
