Vision Conference 2008 - Rest

It's Monday evening and things are going well for HBF at our sixth annual vision conference. We are excited to mark the beginning of our seventh year with an emphasis on rest!

Maple City Baptist has brought an incredible crew to care for the children, Blake Anderson's preaching has been anointed of God and Sam Miles presentation of his ministry at Midtown Baptist Temple was simply inspiring.

Yesterday Blake preached on our theme verse from Matthew 11:28-30. He spoke to our need to be broken not bitter. He taught us from the Word to Turn, Take a Knee and Give and Ear to the Lord so we can exchange our burden for the liberty of serving the Lord.

This will be a banner Vision Conference for our church as God has definitely shown up to challenge us. This morning I was reading from the book of Zacharia hand was reminded how important it is to rely upon the grace of God.

Zechariah 4:7
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

I am looking forward to tomorrow's meetings. Blake Anderson will teach us on the importance of being sensitive to those who have immigrated to the United States from other countries. this should be a great time in the Lord!
