Bless ye the LORD

Today part of my personal reading included Psalm 134. The little chapter of three verses bust out with praise for God and His mighty works! I am amazed that God is blessed by us. Just a last week I was reading in Psalm 113:6 that God has to humble himself to take note of the activities within the heavens. The expanse of the universe is really nothing but handiwork for my God!

When I consider the magnificent glory of God, I can not help but think of his love for me and you. Though we are not even worthy of taking note of, God formed us and fashioned us, gave his Son for us and actually loves and cares for us. He desires intimacy from us and has redeemed those of us who have placed our faith in the sacrifice of His Son.

I am blessed, so I should bless. Today I thank God that I am aware of His glory and that he has enabled me to be a blessing.

Psalm 134:1-3

BEHOLD, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.  2. Lift up your hands in the santuarey, and bless the LORD.  3. The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

If you just read this passage you just read a chapter of the bible! Now bless the Lord!
